Oral Cancer Awareness
with Dr. Michael Madsen
Oral cancer numbers are increasing in the United States, largely due to a lack of awareness. Although we don’t often hear people talking about oral cancer, it actually has a higher death rate than many of the most common types of cancer. This is because it’s typically found at a late stage in progression. The biggest risk factors for oral cancer include tobacco and alcohol consumption, HPV, and gender – men are twice as likely to develop this deadly disease. Contact Dr. Madsen and the team at Health Centered Dentistry today to schedule a screening. It might just save your life.
At Health Centered Dentistry, we are proud to be able to provide all of your family’s dental needs under one roof. We pride ourselves in our dedication to continuing education and our investment in the latest technology, and are considered a pioneer dental practice for top shelf services in Anchorage. Our patients travel from all over Alaska just to come see us at Health Centered Dentistry for our combination of convenient same day dentistry, and our holistic philosophy that seeks to treat the whole person and determine the underlying cause of disease, rather than just treating symptoms.
